Nicole M. Jasso, MSN, RNC-NIC

Neonatal Clinical Nurse Educator

Nicole Jasso began her career at UC Irvine Medical Center in 2006 as a new graduate nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit. After a year in the NICU, Nicole graduated from Mount St. Mary’s College with her master’s in nursing education in 2009. Since then, she has been the neonatal clinical nurse educator at the medical center.  In her role, Jasso oversees the growth and career development of new graduate nurses in the NICU and helps conduct the annual competency assessment for all neonatal nurses.

Her passion for simulation and debriefing has lead to a Multidisciplinary Simulation Program in the NICU. This program is conducted annually and includes participation from nurses, respiratory therapists and physicians.

Jasso enjoys spending her days off with her daughter Dylan and husband Derek. She loves traveling, camping and being outdoors.
